CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Maine Water Utilities Association is issuing a call for technical abstracts for the 99thAannual Conference.
We are asking that submitted papers be focused on all aspects of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater. Submittals that will be considered may cover distribution, collection, treatment, pumping, asset management, GIS, SCADA, regulatory and legislative updates, public and media relations and training, modeling, billing, water conservation, reuse, benchmarking, billing, human resources, succession planning, leadership, use of artificial intelligence, automatic meter intelligence, erosion control, green infrastructure, energy conservation, cybersecurity, emergency preparedness, dramatic weather events and subjects related to our ever evolving profession that promotes innovation.

After review, all selected papers and presenters will be notified via email or phone call of their selection. At a later date, you will be informed of the date of your scheduled presentation along with time and session number. Please be aware that the dates of your presentations will be firm so flexibility for the stated dates is essential.
We ask that all papers submitted be presented within a one-hour presentation format. Exceptions will be considered for lengthier presentations depending on relevancy and subject matter. The acceptance of classes exceeding one hour will be determined by a group of representatives. No approved offering will exceed 3 hours in length. If your approved presentation employs a PowerPoint presentation, we asked that the PowerPoint be sent to us TWO WEEKS prior to the conference.
