2026 Summer Outing Recap
On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, MWUA members, friends, and sponsors gathered at Lost Valley in Auburn for our Annual Summer Outing. The day started with a hands-on technical session focused on safety, followed by an afternoon of cornhole, a scavenger hunt, live music, and great food, including lobster and steak.
Thank you to everyone who came out and made this year’s outing such a success: our members and their families, our generous sponsors and exhibitors, and the trainers who led the technical session. Events like this only happen because of your support, and we are already looking forward to next year.

2024 MWUA Annual Summer Outing Recap
On August 8th, 2024, the Maine Water Utilities Association held its Annual Summer Outing at Cumberland Fairgrounds.
The day kicked off with a Technical Session on enhancing GPS collection and the MWUA Technology Committee created a hands-on scavenger hunt using GPS equipment.
Following the technical session, Travis Jones of Olver Associates, coordinated an exciting cornhole tournament and attendees competed for the coveted cornhole championship belts.
Congratulations go out to Logan Soule and Steve Bechard for crushing a field full of opponents. A surf and turf lunch was served, including an ice cream dessert social provided by Wright-Pierce.
The 50/50 raffle raised funds for the Scholarship Committee, and they raised enough for a scholarship between the Summer Outing and Golf Tournament – thanks to everyone who took a shot at winning the cash!
The desired and fashionable “red jacket” was awarded to Rick Anair for his tireless help with the annual MWUA Golf Tournament.
