Attention Members
New England Water Works Association and New England Water Environment Association have teamed up to develop a workforce development initiative for water professionals. They asked us to pass along this message to support their efforts.
Hi all Work for Water – New England Partners,
Thank you again for your support of this important initiative.
We are proud to share that the Steering Committee has drafted a comprehensive Strategic Plan and Roadmap to establish the New England Work for Water Collaborative, with the goal of improving workforce development in New England’s water profession.
To move this forward, the Collaborative is now seeking Charter Members. Charter Membership contributions will enable us to implement the Strategic Plan, hire workforce development professionals, and launch activities outlined in the Roadmap.
Our goal is to raise $250,000 by October 1, 2025 to kick-start the collaborative, and with your support, we can achieve meaningful progress in building a sustainable water workforce for New England.
Attached is a letter providing background on the Collaborative, outlining the available membership types and tiered enrollment structure, and explaining how to enroll as a Collaborative member.
The letter is attached as a PDF and .doc and a link to the online version is provided below to ensure ease of sharing. The piece is written so you can send it out to your members (and non-members) using your preferred distribution method (website, email, newsletter, etc.).
