On August 18th at the Maine Water Utilities Association Board of Directors meeting the Board voted unanimously to join Maine Affordable Energy Coalition.

On August 19th the Executive Board of Maine Water Environment met and also voted unanimously to also join the coalition of Maine Affordable Energy. While this issue has become highly politicized the boards felt it was in the best interest of our associations and members to take a bold step to clearly state our position in regards to the future of the Maine Energy Market.
