Public & Private Fire Protection

Join MWUA, Maine PUC, Maine Fire Marshall’s Office, Sanford Water District, and EJP for a great training class.

Attendees will learn about the various rules and regulations that apply to fire protection, considerations for the water utility side of fire protection, licensing and permitting, and demonstrations related to hydrants.

DATE: June 17, 2025

TIME: Registration starts at 7:30am.  Class will be from 8:00AM to 3:15PM. Lunch will be provided

From Surviving to Thriving: Strategies for Managing Burnout and Growing Capacity in Water Utilities

Join MWUA, Maine DWP, and Maine PUC for a day of learning and networking. DWP and PUC will share ways to increase the technical, managerial and financial capacity of your water utility, including: grant opportunities, asset management, considerations for the useful life of drinking water infrastructure, capital improvements, keeping up with increasing costs, considerations on staffing and associated issues.

These are in-person only classes.

Harassment in the Workplace: Harassment Education…IT’S the LAW

Join MWUA and Swanson Consulting & Associates LLC as they present four 1-hour sessions via Zoom on Harassment Education. (All sessions will have the same information.) Attendees will learn what Harassment in the Workplace is, what to do about it, what the law says and how to report it.
